UNIT 2
GEORGIA RULE
1.
*Do Not take the Lord's name in vain
*Sleep upstairs only
*Wash your own dishes
*You live here, you work
*Dinner is at six. You miss it, you wait til morning.
2.
I think that Georgia was trying to teach Rachel both respect and honestness as well as give her structure. All of which she is greatly in need of.
3.
At first it appears that there is a negative effect. Rachel is not used to having rules and structure in her life and rebels. Eventually she begins to embrace the rules and think of the well being of others instead of just herself. I think because of the rules Georgia has implied she gains Rachels respect.

UNIT ONE
Cohesion: My family is extremely close knit, especially since the death of my father. Everyone is always there cheering on the other no matter what.
Adaptability: We are a very adaptable bunch, but with SEVEN children how can you not be?!? My mom is fabulous at keeping everyone organized and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and on time. We have had some major issues in our lives and we have learned to stick together, lean on each other, and roll with the punches.
Metaphor: A Three Ring Circus, where chaos reigns supreme. Love, life and everything in between!
Themes: Be the best you can be! My parents have always believed in us and have taught us to believe in ourselves.
Boundaries: The purpose of having boundaries is to protect and take care of ourselves. We need to be able to tell other people when they are acting in ways that are not acceptable to us. A first step is starting to know that we have a right to protect and defend ourselves. That we have not only the right, but the duty to take responsibility for how we allow others to treat us.
